Hebe leiophylla is an erect, evergreen bushy shrub, which grows to about 80
in (2 m) or more high. The leaves are spear shaped, mid green, not glossy,
1–1.4 in (2.5–3.5 cm) long. The white flowers are densely packed into
slender spikes; summer. A hebe hardy in the UK.
Found is open country or the edge of bush, to the north of South Island, New
Zealand. The Flora of New Zealand classified this hebe as an uncertain
species, but it is now regarded as a true species.
